Enid was born in Miami but raised in Brooklyn. She’s the youngest daughter of Puerto Rican parents and, as a first generation US-born ‘Rican, she grew up surrounded by the culture and music of her parents’ homeland. She has been listening and dancing to salsa from a very young age. Her favorite salsa singer is Hector Lavoe. She has been dancing salsa on2 since 2014. When her son, Wil Nieves, opened Nieves Latin Dance Studio, Enid was happy to help with whatever was needed. She found that she loved the family-like atmosphere that involved all teachers and students and fell in love with both the artistry and the administrative aspects of the studio. Today she is able to utilize her administrative and accounting skills by managing the day-to-day activities of the studio as well as make all students feel welcome.
